Armies of Moonclan grots use Squig Gobbas as living artillery. The enormous fungoid beasts are prodded and poked until they regurgitate smaller squigs they have devoured, sending them flying into the ranks of the enemy to explode in clouds of acidic spores.
Miniature Review
This is my favorite squig miniature and was a birthday present from my wife! It's what first made me want to get the full Forgeworld set and it has so much character. The face of the Gobba Squig is great, and I love the expressions on all the smaller squigs faces getting spat out.
Not only is the Gobba Squig great though, it comes with many other grots and squigs that turns the miniature into more of a diorama. You've got one grot prepping a squig, another one being passed up and a third giving the Gobba a good poke to make it fire.
Painting Techniques (Squigs)
Squig Skin
All highlights are applied as a glaze. I also used a 50:50 mix of Wild Rider Red and Kislev Flesh between using the pure colors to help blend them.
Gums
Pink horror is applied first, then a 50:50 mix of Pink Horror and Kislev Flesh, then a final 50:50 mix of Pink Horror and Pallid Wych Flesh.
Teeth & Spines
Claws
Eyes
Steel
I apply patches of Dirty Down Rust before applying the brighter Ryza Rust in smaller areas over the top.
Copper
Spit
I slowly added more and more White Scar into the green to highlight it. I then added a few coats of Ardcoat to make it look really slimy.

Roundup
I think I've ended on my favorite for now so it's time to take a bit of a break from Squigs. I've loved how they've turned out and I'll have to get a photo of them all together at some point!
