Grinkrak the Great leads his Looncourt into the darkness under the Gnarlwood. His Loonknights are a unique breed of grot - convinced by Grinkrak's stirring rhetoric (and some judiciously applied psychoactive fungi) that they are truly formidable warriors. Their king encourages them in this delusion, issuing them quests that, miraculously, they sometimes survive.
Snorbo sounds the charge on his spore trumpet, sending both Pokin' Snark and Grib, Da Wonky Lance, bounding and charging towards their foes. Squiggly beast missiles sail overhead as they clash with their enemies, launched by Skolko and Pronk, while Pointy Burk and Moonface Nagz bring up the rear, eager for the dregs of glory.
Miniature Review
Grinkrak and his Looncourt are an unusual warband, weighing in at seven models, they're one of the largest warbands in the game. The warband contains Grinkrak the Great, Snorbo da Spore, Pokin' Snark, Pointy Burk, Moonface Nagz, Skolko and Pronk, and Grib, da Wonky Lance.
Grib, da Wonky Lance is the standout model in the warband, with a unique pose looking just like a knight, while the squig is far more beefy than the usual. I also really like the squig missile models, Skolko and Pronk, they really add something different to the warband not really seen much in the Gloomspite Gitz range. The squig on a stick is also a fun idea.
Painting Techniques (Squigs)
Squig Skin
All highlights are applied as a glaze. I also used a 50:50 mix of Wild Rider Red and Kislev Flesh between using the pure colors to help blend them.
Gums
Pink horror is applied first, then a 50:50 mix of Pink Horror and Kislev Flesh, then a final 50:50 mix of Pink Horror and Pallid Wych Flesh.

Base
The cave is made from corkboard and the ground was covered in a texture paint. As with the squig I gave everything a shade with Nuln Oil to darken it right down, then highlighted it back up with Dawnstone and Mechanicus Grey.
I then applied a mix of flocks, rocks, tufts, flowers and leaves grouped below by company:
Games Workshop
Geek Gaming Scenics
Army Painter
Gamers Grass
AK Interactive
Finally I painted the outside of the base.
Roundup
I'm really happy with how the yellow armour came out and it adds some fun to the pieces. The big squig mount came out well and shows off the character of the face. The blue mushroom at the top the staff is a nice contrast to the red and helps make it easier to spot the leader of the unit.
