Showcase: Loonsmasha Fanatics

Loonsmasha Fanatics are driven loopy with fungus brew, armed with massive wrecking balls attached to lengths of chain, then unleashed upon the enemy in a whirling storm. Though these grots inevitably succumb to the enemy - or exhaustion, or getting tangled in their own weapons - they always cause bloody carnage before they drop.

Miniature Review

The original fanatics were some of my favorite miniatures from the original night goblin range, despite them being pretty small. I love that they made the poses more comical and the chains longer to give them more height, but I would have loved the balls on the end to be a bit bigger. They look realistic, but I think a slightly exaggerated size would have made them a lot more fun.

Roundup

I tried to simplify the painting process for these miniatures somewhat while trying not to drop much quality. I focused on the key areas like the skin and cloak that will be noticed the most, then reduced a few colors here and there to help speed things up. I think I'll look to follow this pattern on future goblins.
